The Kirkhurst Woven Fiber Pendant Lamp hand-weaves natural banana fiber – abaca. also known as Manila hemp – over an angular. faceted frame. giving each bell-shaped shade a paneled. plaid-like woven texture rather than a smooth curve. Choose it as a single pendant in four sizes. Φ24 cm. Φ30 cm. Φ45 cm. or Φ60 cm. hung from a round ceiling canopy on a 1.2 m adjustable cord – or as a multi-head fixture: four cascading two-shade combinations on a single staggered-cord canopy. or a rigid linear ceiling plate carrying two or three shades in a level row.
Faceted woven-fiber shade
Natural banana fiber (abaca) is hand-woven over an angular. paneled frame. forming a bell-shaped shade with a plaid-like textured surface rather than a smooth curve.

- The suspension cord on single-pendant and long-plate heads has a default drop of 1.2 m and is adjustable; if a longer cord is needed for a cascade combination. note this with customer service when ordering.
- Dust the woven banana-fiber shade gently with a soft. dry brush or low vacuum attachment; avoid water and solvents. which can loosen or discolor the natural fiber weave.
- Handle the faceted panels gently when installing or repositioning the fixture – avoid pressing on the woven surface. which can distort the frame.
- Wipe the canopy. linear plate. and metal hardware with a soft. dry cloth to preserve their finish; avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Disconnect power before cleaning or servicing the fixture.
