Nomivar Retro Glass Flush Mount Ceiling Light

I wanted something with a bit of vintage personality but didn’t want a traditional chandelier. The rounded glass form and warm-toned details give this ceiling light exactly the right amount of character.

The old fitting disappeared completely into the ceiling. This one has proper shape, depth and reflection, so the whole room feels more finished even though the light itself is still compact.

Our hallway couldn’t take a pendant, so I was looking for a flush fitting that still felt decorative. This sits neatly overhead but has much more presence than a plain ceiling light.

I was slightly worried the layered design might look heavy, but the transparent outer section makes the whole fitting feel surprisingly airy. It works beautifully in our smaller sitting room.

The mix of clear glass and warmer metal tones is what makes this work for me. It feels polished without being flashy and gives the ceiling a much softer look after dark.

The rounded profile has a lovely retro quality that feels slightly playful without looking dated. It fits surprisingly well with our modern furniture and older wooden pieces.

During the day the glass catches little highlights from the windows, and in the evening the glow around the inner ring becomes much warmer. It has more visual interest than I expected.

We have a few mid-century pieces and this ceiling light fits the room beautifully. The curved glass and warm-toned centre give it that vintage feel without making the space look themed.

I assumed I’d mainly notice the fitting from directly underneath, but the rounded glass edge looks fantastic from the doorway. It gives the ceiling light a much more sculptural presence.

There are several layers to the shape rather than one flat surface, and that gives it much more depth when viewed from different angles. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference.

The clear glass naturally shows the odd fingerprint or bit of dust more than an opaque shade would. It takes seconds to wipe and still looks excellent, so that’s only a tiny reason for four stars.
